A 21st birthday is a huge milestone in a person’s life, so creating a great invitation to mark the event is very important.
I created this invitation for a girl’s 21st birthday, but the design and colors can easily be altered to fit a boy’s style.
This design is super easy and really takes little time at all. So, if you want a great invitation but are short on time, then this is a great idea!
First, chose your color scheme. I liked the idea of the trendy and bold colors lime green and fuscia, so I designed the invitation around those.
While standing in the paper aisle at Michael’s, I found this great lime green textured cardstock and this bright fuscia textured cardstock. I chose a bright white textured cardstock to use as the text sheet because I like the pureness of it against the bright fuscia.
I knew I needed a little something extra other than the papers, so I decided on this wide fuscia satin ribbon to make bold stripes across the invitation. It works great and adds an extra bit of texture.
I made the text pretty plain and simple stating “Taylor’s 21st Birthday Party!” I wanted the invitation design to be more of the focal point rather than the writing, although not to say the writing wasn’t important. To emphasis the fact that it was Taylor’s 21st birthday, I wrote that text in a cursive font and printed it in a matching fuscia ink.
This design would also work great for bridal shower invitations or even wedding invitations. It’s really easy and looks beautiful!
