30th Birthday Invitation…Fuchsia, Black & Zebra Print

Supply List…

• 8-1/2″x 11″ black cardstock
• 8-1/2″x 11″ fuchsia cardstock
• 8-1/2″x 11″ zebra print paper
• 8-1/2″x 11″ translucent paper
• 7/8″ fuchsia organza ribbon
• mounting squares
• size A9 envelopes

If you’re looking for a fun, edgy invitation perfect for that bash you’re throwing for your soon-to-be 30 year old BFF, then this is the one for you!

This homemade invitation is not only fun and edgy with the combo of fuchsia and zebra print, but it’s also really easy to make!

If you want to make this invitation yourself, begin by cutting the black cardstock to a size of 5-1/2″x 8-1/2″.  Next, cut your zebra print paper to a size of 5″x 8″.  I love using my X-acto Paper Trimmer…makes a perfect cut everytime!

The next step is to create a text layout.  I like to use my Word program or any printshop program.

Remember to make the wording fun…turning 30 is fun and the invitation should be too!

After you have a good text layout, print it and then cut it to a size of 4″x 7″.

Next, print a large “30″ on the translucent paper.  Cut that paper to a size of 3-1/2″x 6-1/2″.

Using a paper punch, center the translucent paper on the fuchsia cardstock and punch two holes near the top.  Take a length of ribbon and thread it through from the front to the back and then switch holes and pull it back through the front.  Pull the ribbon snuggly and trim the ends.

Finally, attach all the cardstock layers together using mounting squares.  Be sure to keep them centered.

That’s it…fun, huh?!
