Summer is a great time to have a beach party, and if you are, you’re going to need a perfect beach invitation to go along with it! This homemade beach invitation is easy and fits the theme perfectly.
Turquoise, sand and white are the perfect colors to use on a beach invitation because they’re all colors you’d find at the beach and they create a beautiful, pleasing color scheme.
If you’d like to try this invitation you’ll just need paper, sand and a some seashells of any kind.
Start off with a darker blue tone, such as turquoise. This works perfectly as a deep base for the lighter paper layers.
Next, I used a sand color of cardstock for my next layer and rather than having a perfect straight edge, I used a more rugged ripped edge. Ripping an edge always adds a bit of texture and depth to any invitation.
I then used a pure white cardstock for my text layer. I didn’t like the look of black ink for the text, so instead I used a turquoise color to pull it all together.
To add to the beachy theme, I used a cluster of seashells at the top and a dusting of sand on the bottom and just below the shells.
This invitation would also work great if you are planning a beach wedding and need bridal shower invites or you could even use this idea for the actual wedding invitations themselves!
