{Christmas Goodies} White Chocolate Covered Oreo’s

Referring to that PTO appreciation lunch that I made the banner and centerpieces for and posted about yesterday, and the invitations I posted about last week, I also had to make some yummy desserts for the dessert table!

I decided to keep with my theme of red, green & white polka-dots and stripes.

This was my first time making white chocolate covered Oreo’s and I must say they turned out pretty good!

If you’ve never made them before, you definitely need to try!!  You know me, I’m all about beautiful things made the simple way, and these definitely fit that description!!

Here’s the tutorial in case you need a quick treat to bring along to your Christmas celebrations…

White Chocolate Covered Oreo’s…

Supplies…

  • (2) packages of Christmas Oreo’s (traditional flavor, but red cream instead of white)
  • one package of Wilton’s White Candy Melts
  • candy sprinkles
  • red pre-made Betty Crocker icing (in a tube)

Begin by melting the candy melts in the microwave in a glass bowl.  The candy melts are so easy to use and keep melted until dipped!

{ Dip the Oreo's in the chocolate }

Dip the Oreo’s in the chocolate.

{ Remove them from the chocolate }

Remove the Oreo’s from the chocolate.  I used a large serving fork which worked great.

{ Place on wax paper & decorate }

Place the dipped Oreo’s on a wax paper covered cookie tray and decorate!  They harden so quickly, which makes it easy to transfer them to a decorative plate!

{ A pretty surprise...Yummy! }

Aren’t these so cute??  And, your guests will love the red surprise inside!!

These would also be great for a Valentine’s party, just with red sprinkles and stripes!

I’ll be posting some yummy chocolate dipped pretzels tomorrow, so be sure to stop by!
