{Giddy Up} A “Wanted” Cowboy Invitation

Sometimes it’s difficult to think of little boy’s birthday invitation designs, but after thinking what fun you could have with a cowboy themed party, I designed the perfect invitation to go along with it!

On my list of things-to-do is designing more boy invitations, so be sure to keep stopping in to see what’s new!  Or, you could even sign up for my email subscription…it’s free and you receive every new blog I post right in your inbox!

Oh yeah, the invitation……

Of course, if you find an invitation design here, you know it’s going to be simple to make, and turn out perfect!  Well, this one is definitely that too!

But remember, if you don’t have the time to make these invitations yourself, just contact me and I can make them for you!  I’m filling custom orders all the time and I’d love to fill an order for you too!  Contact me and I’ll get you a price and a delivery time.

If you’d like to make this one on your own, just follow the simple tutorial below…

A “Wanted” Cowboy Invitation…

{ Supplies }

Supply List…

Begin making this invitation by cutting the brown cardstock to a size of 5-1/2″x 8-1/2″.  Next, cut the red cardstock to a size of 5-1/8″x 8-1/2″.  I love using my X-acto Paper Trimmer for all this cutting!  Works great!

Now you will need to design a text layout.  I actually like using my Word program to create a layout.  For this invitation I also downloaded a free font to add to the Western look of the invitation.  I downloaded the font “QuentinCaps” and used that to write Wanted.  I easily designed the rest of the text using the info that I needed and adding a couple cute sayings.

Once your text is good, print it onto the stone cardstock.  Cut that to a size of 4-3/8″x 7-3/8″.

{ Cut Supplies }

Once all of your layers are cut to the size needed, it’s time to use the star punch.

{ Star Punch }

Being that this is a handheld star punch, it was a little more difficult to keep a straight line of stars, but don’t worry if they’re not perfect…your guests will love them anyway!

I needed this small size of star and couldn’t find any punches that were tabletop and small enough, so this handheld one had to do.

Anyway, punch a line of stars along the top and the bottom of the text sheet.

Now just attach all the layers together using mounting squares.  Add a little raffia and a sheriff’s badge and you’re finished!  What kid wouldn’t love getting this invite in the mail??

So cute, and I’m sure your little cowboy (or cowgirl) would love this invitation for their big party!

Remember to contact me if you’d like pricing on a custom order!

I’d love to see pics of any of my invitation designs you’ve used!  Be sure to send them over!!
