Looking for a great idea for a homemade anniversary invitation? Short on time and need it to be elegant but easy? Then this is the one for you!
This invitation really only took me a couple minutes each to assemble once I printed the text and cut the papers!
This style would work great with other colors too! Try using a sage green paper and ribbon or even an elegant deep blue…the possiblities are endless!
I wanted a more elongated shape for this invitation, so to start, cut your colored base sheet to a size of 8-1/2″x 4-1/2″.
Next, come up with a text layout that you like. I used a cursive font for the names and printed them in a deep red to make them stand out a little more.
You will need to cut the text sheet to a size of 8″x 4″ to leave a 1/4″ reveal of the red paper.
Now all you need to do is cut two pieces of ribbon 5 or 6 inches long. Wrap them around the top and the bottom of the white text sheet and attach them on the back.
Using mounting squares, adhere the text sheet to the base sheet.
And that’s it! So easy and it looks great!
