Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday…I just love all of our family and friends getting together to celebrate all the many blessings in our life! I have sooo many fond memories of Thanksgiving, especially having a ‘picnic’ with all my cousins on a blanket in the middle of my grandparents living room…it was one of the best days of the year!
And, once again, this wonderful holiday is upon us! Only a couple more weeks!
Of course that means that it’s time to start thinking about your big Thanksgiving dinner.
If you’re planning on having family and friends over to celebrate and give thanks, then maybe you’d like to send out formal invites.
I made this elegant and stylish handmade invitation that would be perfect for any dinner you’re planning!
To make this invitation, follow the tutorial below. Or, if you’re getting short on time, but want a handmade invitation then contact me! I’d love to make this beautiful invitation customized to your liking! Just send me a message on my custom order page and I’ll get right back to you!
If you’d like to make it yourself, begin by cutting the paisley print paper to a size of 5-1/2″x 8-1/2″. Next, cut the orange cardstock to a size of 3-1/4″x 8-1/2″. I love to use my X-acto Paper Trimmer to do all my cutting! It works great and has for about 8 years!
The next step is to create a text layout. I like to use my Word program or a printshop program. For this invitation, I created a large “Thanksgiving” word on the right side and then placed all the other information on the left side. It’s a nice twist to an elegant invitation.
Once you have a good text layout, print it out on the white cardstock. Then cut the white cardstock to a size of 3″x 8-1/2″.
The final step is to attach all the layers together using the mounting squares. Be sure to keep everything centered.
See, I told you it was easy!
