*Oh My! Monday*…Ballerina Birthday

Time for another Oh My Monday invitation!

Remember, Monday invites may take a little more time, but are well worth it!

If you have a little girl, you’ll love this homemade invitation!

Ballerina Birthday Invitation…

Supply List…

I just love the way this super cute ballerina birthday invitation turned out!

It’s perfect for that little birthday girl who loves to dance!

I’m always inspired by other things when designing my invitations and this invitation was inspired by the super cute and adorable tutu’s that Kristal over at Atutudes makes!  They are so chic and fashionable and perfect for that little ballerina in your life!  Be sure to check them out!

Of course, this invitation is really easy to make too!

Follow the tutorial below to begin making your own, or to make it even easier, contact me and I will make these invitations for you!  Simple, huh??!  Be sure to contact me through my custom order page and I will get right back with you on a price and delivery date for your invitations!

If you want to make them on your own, begin by cutting the light pink cardstock to a size of 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″.  I love using my X-acto Paper Trimmer!  It is the best paper trimmer I’ve found!

Next, design a text layout.  You can use similar wording as mine or come up with something unique.  Keep your text closer to the top of the paper to allow for the “tutu” at the bottom.

After you have a good layout, print it on the white cardstock.  Cut that sheet to a size of 8-1/8″x 5-1/8″.

Next, take a length of tulle and about 3/4″ below the last lettering, begin to arrange it on the cardstock.  Use hot glue to keep the tulle attached to the cardstock.  Cut off any excess tulle on the sides and the bottom.

Now take a length of the black ribbon.  Using mounting squares, attach it to the top of the “tutu” and the cardstock.  Wrap it around the backside and attach on the back.

Finally attach the white cardstock to the light pink cardstock.

Isn’t it so cute!  Your daughter is sure to love this invitation for the fun, girly ballet party you’re planning!

I am trying to make your invitations and am having a bit of trouble with the tulle. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Hi Rychelle, I’ve been making those invites a lot for customers and I have actually been sewing the tulle right onto the paper. If you have a sewing machine, just gather up the tulle a little bit at a time and sew it right on. Works great and is quite easy! Let me know if you have any other problems!
