Well, it’s Monday again! You can look at it two ways…the start of another work week, blaaaaa….. or, another Oh My! invitation, yay!!!
I prefer to look at it as the second of the two!
I know it’s getting pretty close to Halloween and anyone who’s planning on hosting a party has probably already sent out their invitations, or at least already has an idea of what they’re planning for the invitation.
But for those procrastinators out there, this invitation is for you!
Yet again,
Another Homemade Halloween Invitation Idea….

I just love designing homemade Halloween Party invitations! This one was a lot of fun! I wanted something spooky and different and I think this invitation fits those requirements!
I love the contrast of the striped paper with the solid white and the small accent of orange.
The best part is, as always, it’s simple to make!
Follow the tutorial listed below or if you’re short on time and would like these made for you, remember we can do just that! Email me or contact me on the custom orders page and I will get in touch! An even easier way to place an order is to visit my Etsy shop! There are lots of my other invitations for sale in my Etsy Shoppe too! If you’d like to order this invitation, it’s only $2.00 per invitation for a quantity of up to 24, and that includes envelopes too! Contact me for more information and a discount on larger orders!
If you like to make this yourself, begin by cutting the black cardstock to a size of 5″ x 7″. I love using my Exacto Paper Trimmer! It works so great and I’ve had it for years!
Next, cut the striped paper to a size of 4-1/4″x 6-1/4″. After it’s cut to size, carefully rip some of the edges to create an “old” look.
Create a text layout using a Printshop program or your Word program. I used a fun spooky font for the text to add even more interest. I also used fun wording…
“Calling All Creatures of the Night…
Your presence is requested at the
Waking of the Dead Party”
Your guests will love these extra touches that you add to their invitations!
Next, cut the text sheet to a size of 5″x 7″. Using larger portions, rip off all the sides of the paper to make it look really “old” too. For an added touch, I also rubbed some dirt on the edges. This helped it to look old too and took off that crisp white look.
Cut a 1-3/4″ circle out of the light orange cardstock. I also rubbed some dirt on it to make it look distressed.
Turning the papers this way and that, attach them altogether using the mounting squares. Then attach the orange moon.
Finally add the glittery bat.
That’s it! It’s so spooky and fun! You’ll definitely have to try it!
Remember that I can also make them for you! Just email me and I’ll get in touch!
Here are a few other fun supplies perfect for the spooky party you’re planning…
